VOIP Internet Phone Service in Brazil

Can you guess which country was the most successful in terms of growth in the twentieth century? No, it wasn’t the United States, Britain, or Japan. Believe it or not, the title goes to a nation that is still commonly referred to as a third-world country — Brazil. Will this growth continue?

Though there will always be skeptics, in recent years Brazil has answered its critics and it has answered them emphatically. Under a new president (Lula), Brazil has managed to repay all of its debts to the International Monetary Fund years ahead of schedule. It is also home to the fastest growing trade surplus in the world. Not to mention that fact that its exports are exploding, growing faster than both China and India.

This is all happening in a giant nation that is currently fifth in both population and size. But can Brazil’s amazing growth continue, or was it simply a flare up from a country that is infamous for its political and economic instability? One particular area of concern is local businesses in Brazil who have been cutting costs with new technologies like voip internet phone service . (more...)

Glow Sticks in Brazil

Although they are available in a variety of different styles, shapes and colours, the typical glow stick is a long plastic tube that contains substances that when combined emit a greenish light due to a chemical reaction that does not require a power source. Millions of these items are sold all over the world every year.

Believe it or not, there are many official patents that have been issued for the common glow stick, the majority of which have been credited to scientists and inventors working for the US Navy. You see, glow sticks were originally used by divers who needed a quick and easy source of light that did not rely on electrical power during long dives. The solution was the standard glow stick.

Therefore, the first glow sticks were used primarily on night diving missions as a safe and effective light source that did not rely on battery power. They are also waterproof, inexpensive, and they generated no heat. They were also used by campers and outdoorsmen to light their way in the woods at night when lanterns ran low. Later, glow sticks became popular in entertainment as they were often used as a safe alternative to lighters in large outdoor rock concerts. They are also used in dancing. It is in this capacity that glow sticks have achieved enormous success in South American countries like Brazil. In fact, many new kinds and styles of glow sticks are tested in Brazil before they are introduced worldwide. (more...)

(more...)

Travelling to Brazil

According to recent reports, more than 180,000 British nationals visited Brazil last year, which is a record. The reason British citizens are vacationing in Brazil is simple-the country is home to some of the most exotic and exciting cities on earth, and the airfare and hotel accommodations are extremely affordable. This is a welcome change in the midst of a prolonged recession that is still affecting most of the UK.

But before you slip on your Sunga or Chinelo, it is important to learn a bit about the culture and possibly even the language. For example, those foreign words we just used are Portuguese, since the country was colonized by them in the 16th century. They mean swimming trunks and flip flops, which are quite common for tourists and locals alike in Brazil.

However, learning a few Portuguese words and dressing like the locals may not be enough to keep you safe. The fact is that crime and violence are quite high in many of the country’s largest cities. This is especially true during the festive and Carnival periods. So, if you choose to stay at home and take a day trip in a Sterling caravan that will likely be a whole lot safer. (more...)
